Abilities/Accessories:

Bella is a full angel, part of a “clan” of guardian angels that specializes in water elements. She has the ability to manipulate water into any form, and if desired freezes it into ice to hold its form. Along with the basic angel abilities such as healing, force blasts, growing pale golden wings, and using angelic orbs Bella also possesses telekinesis. These abilities are less affective/powerful when she is away from Heaven and on Earth. She is only able to regain her full-angel form on Earth when standing on holy ground; otherwise her abilities are closer to those of a half-angel.

Flaws/Weaknesses:

Bella possesses the basic angel weaknesses, among them include draining affects from horrific items or auras, being unable to set foot on impure ground, and poor reaction to extreme heat. Furthermore, Bella’s angelic abilities are not as powerful in her mortal form, which she assumes whenever she touches the Earth’s soil. It helps her to appear more like a normal person. If she wants to assume her angel form she must be on holy ground such as a church or a graveyard, barefoot. If she wants to use her power to its full extent then she has to use her own life force for it to be affective. Depending on how much power she uses she could exhaust herself and need to rest up in order to rebuild her life force.

Personality:

Bella is basically your typical angel type: gentle, serene, patient, and generous. She thinks of others first, which is a “work habit,” and rarely thinks of her own best interests. She never really expects anything in return for her good deeds and hardly ever asks for favors. 

 
History:

For as long as she has been in existence Bella has always had someone special to watch over and protect. As a guardian angel it was her sworn duty to do so. They are assigned to watch over one soul from birth to death, and then wait for the next one. Bella was content watching over them throughout the years… at least until Leopard Briggs was born in California. She watched him grow up into a fine young tom, and for the first time ever she felt herself drawn to a soul, feeling a need to be close to him. So, she asked for permission to be sent down to the Earth to both watch over him and to be near. When permission was granted Bella was sent down to the Earth for the first time, her angel abilities limited greatly and her appearance altered once her feet touched the ground. With all the arrangements set up Bella gained a surname and a job as a secretary to the newlywed lawyer Leopard “Leo” Briggs. 

After working together for a year, Leo had divorced his wife and turned his affections towards the supportive Bella. Following a three-year courtship they were married. During the honeymoon Bella could not hide the fact that she did not have a navel (as angels aren’t naturally born like kats), nor could she lie about it. When Bella confessed to him that he had married a real angel Leo naturally thought she was joking, until she took his paws and healed the dug-in claw marks he had given himself in nervous anticipation before the wedding. After regaining consciousness Leo promised he would keep her secret and that he loved her too much to let her go.

A year later, after the birth of their daughter Jade, Leo had information from a client about a crime lord that he was going to go public with. The crime lord, Robert Hellsing, surrounded the family with some of his contacts while on an outing. Leo refused to back down while he protected his wife and daughter, and was shot dead by the contacts. Hellsing was about to order a petrified Bella to be silenced when he was seen by several movie goers leaving the theater. With this distraction Bella escaped with Jade and disappeared from Megakat City with no explaination to the Briggs family. 

Hellsing was a powerful kat and had contacts everywhere, so Bella had to get far away. She knew she had to return to Heaven; Leo was dead and she is supposed to return to receive a new soul to watch over. But since half-angels such as Jade were not accepted by most of the angels she could not bring her with her (most angels see half-angels as abominations). So, she stopped for a moment in Indiana, leaving Jade on the steps of an orphanage, in just a blanket spotted with Leo’s blood and Bella’s angel pendant Leo had given her around her neck. With no information she could gain a new name and not worry about being found by Hellsing. Heart-broken, Bella continued on. Jade was adopted a few days later and renamed Skylar Murphy.

Once she was sure her daughter would be well-cared for Bella went to the nearest spot of holy ground and returned to Heaven. Tramatized and distraught over the death of her husband and giving up her daughter, the moment Bella’s assigned soul was born her memories of them were wiped so that she could work without distraction. For the next twenty-two years Bella watched over and protected her new soul from Heaven, once again content. But once her soul drunkingly drives into a pond and drowns, Bella’s memories of her daughter and husband are restored. The memory wipe was only effective during the previous soul’s lifespan. Her first thought was of her daughter, and before she was assigned to her next soul Bella pleaded to become her daughter’s guardian angel and to be allowed to watch her on Earth. It was an unusual request and took a little longer time to get approved, as well as the next available guardian angel to take Bella’s assigned soul. 

As soon as everything was approved Bella was prepped and ready to return to Earth. However, even though she wanted to see her daughter badly Bella decided to go to the funeral of her recently drowned soul and pay her respects first. The funeral was within twenty-five miles of where Bella left her daughter, so while there she will see how her daughter grew up and then pay her respects to her adopted parents. And then, she will head back to California to see her daughter.
